When The War Continued [CHAPTER 2]

The next morning everyone woke up and we sat around outside of our tents soaking up the summer sun next to the river, it was still too early to put our plan into action as it would be better sneak around town at night.

"I can't belive what happened to Dan and Homer" Katie spoke up

"same" Kat said putting an arm around her

"we need walkie talkies on us at all times tonight guys, we dont want to end up like Dan and Homer" i said

"thats true, we have to be careful" Taylor said

"ok guys this is what is going to happen" i said getting everyones attention

"at night fall we will all go into town, and i think the old pub on the corner at the end of the main street of town is were the soliders have been hanging out and keeping there amo there so THAT is where we need to head for guns and other equipment that we can grab hold of. NEXT Myself, Kat and Jeremy will head to the showground where everyone is being held hostage/prisoners, i have a pair of wire cutters in my tent so Katie your job is to cut a whole in the wire fence and get into the camp without being noticed and try and get some people to follow you out so they can help us out in taking the town back over. Myself, Kat and Jeremy will keep watch and if something happens we can come in a save you or help you. Taylor and Dakota your in charge of finding a bus or car to transport the people we can get out back to our camp and find some more supplies for them." i said

"are we all clear?" i said and everyone nodded there heads

"ok then lets all rest up and get ready to roll!" i said

Night fell apon us and it was time to get the plan in action.

We all jumped on our motor bikes and left them just outside of town and then we walk by foot the rest of the way making sure we were not seen at all.

"shit solider" Taylor said in a whisper who was ahead of us and we all slipped into an ally way beside a store.

taylor poked him head out a few times to see if it was clear and it was and made a hand guesture for us to move along.

We all ran down to the pub and ducked under a window.

"ok Taylor see how many soliders are in there" i said in a whisper

Taylor poked his head up along with Jeremy.

"there is two in there" Jeremy said

"ok lets go in" i said and pulled my big wire cutters out of my bag and Taylor pulled out a hammer from his bag.

we all walked in trying to be as quiet as possible

"what if this dosen't work" Katie said suddenly getting worried

"It will, dont worry i trust Hayley" Kat said to her

"ok kat,katie, Dakota stay behind here by the door and keep guard' Taylor said to them

"ok well its now or never" i said under my breath

Taylor, Jeremy and myself quietly walked into the room where the two soliders where sitting with there back towards us, looking like they were planning something while watching there amo in the room. The i gave Taylor a hand signal....

"GO" i screamed and Taylor and myself smashed the wire cutter and the hammer into the two soliders head knocking them well out... possibly killed them and watch the drop to the floor with an unexpected shocked look on there faces.

"well done guys!" i said high fiving them

"girls lock the door and come here and help get some weapons" Jeremy shouted out to them

We grabbed a riffle each and loads of bullets so we all had something, Taylor and Dakota grabbed a lot more to take with them back to our camp site and then we continued on with our plan.

Taylor and Dakota when running through the town for some transport while the rest of us headed down to showgrounds, once again we had to hide between cars so the spotlight didn't hit us.

"ok Katie see over there" i said pointing into a dark spot that the lights never hit

"go over there and cut the fence there and then well you know what to do" i said and she nodded

"you will be fine trust me" i said resuring her and she ran over to where i was pointing.

We all laid under a fire truck watching Katie very closely. A few minutes later she managed to cut the hole in the fence and made her way in and walked into the first tent that some people where in.

Katies POV:

I walked into the first tent, i was scared and did not know what to expect when i walked to there, i crept in and the light was on, everyone in there looked up from the dirty matresses they were sitting on and started to question me.

"everyone quiet! im here to get you guys out" i said in a whisper

"oh my god i thought we could die in here" a lady said

"ok everyone i need you to be VERY quiet and walk around ther corner, there is a hole in the fence, walk through it and make a run for it and hide between the cars, you will find three others out there and they will tell you where to go" i said and everyone nodded

"ok off you guys go.... in a line too please, just to make it easier" i said and waited for the 20 people to walk out.

i was looking down at the ground when suddenly arms where around me and i looked up at the person.

"mum?" i said

"sweetie" she said with tears in her eyes

"mum i missed you" i said with tears starting in my eyes, i looked over her shoulder and dad was standing there too

"dad!" i said and hugged him

"hey honey" he said

"i love you guys so much" i said hugging them

"we have to go" i said as i noticed we were the only ones left in the tent.

We walked out but suddenly we were stopped, i looked up and was looking straight in the eyes of a solider with a gun in hand

"shit" i said to myself

soon more soilders came and grabbed hold of my parents and dragged them away some where and also dragged me with them. i ended up standing in the spotligh in the middle of the showgrounds where people were still standing in lines

i looked over to the fence and saw Hayley, Jeremy and Dakota looking at me with a shocked looks on there faces, they couldn't help me now and the next second i heard a bang and something that felt like a dozen knives ripped through my body and i heard the screams of my parents, the next second, i dropped to the ground and the darkness took over me.

Hayley's POV

We sat under the truck in shock that Katie was being dragged to the middle of the showground by soliders... there was no way we could go and save her now with out getting ourselves killed. We soon saw her parents back in the line behind yet another fence and then a second later we saw a gun being aimed at Katie and then there was a bang and screams from Katies parents, we saw katies body moving with every bullet that hit her body until she dropped to the floor.

Today was a bit of an adventure at the race track, my friend was there which was good cause i could talk to her while we were both hosing horses down and stuff and then i had a little problem horse who would be fine walking off the truck but then we flips out and runs backwards on you and tries and takes off and steps on your feet so i have had my foot crushed at least 5 times by this damn horse but i refused to let go of him considering we were in a car park and he was probably also worth more then my life!

he was a cutie though.... i mean look at him being a derp on the cross ties
